Simply the best for the trip Scenic train ride through Konavle valley

(Poreč, 06th December 2012) Crystal statue and Award "Simply the Best" for inventiveness and creativity in designing the offer for Konavle in harmony with sustainable and responsible tourism, were awarded today to Gulliver travel at a ceremony at the 14th business and tourist exchange PUT u Poreč. Agritourism Association Konavle, and agency Gulliver travel are winners of traditional annual award "Simply the Best" awarded by UHPA - Association of Croatian travel agencies, and tourist magazine Way to Croatia.

We in Gulliver are particularly happy that our trip SCENIC TRAIN RIDE THROUGH KONAVLE VALLEY was recognized as an innovative, creative and in harmony with sustainable and responsible tourism, which are the guiding premises in creating our programs. This excursion represents a novelty in the excursion offer of the Dubrovnik area, because for the first time it presents winemakers and traditional crafts from the area of Konavle in an original way by a tourist train ride. Special added value of the project is the development of the Konavle region in terms of tourism through the inclusion of a larger number of participants. The first excursion by train (which in the meantime we named "Brican") was organized in the 2011 season (May 27th, 2011) as a novelty in excursion offer of Gulliver for Dubrovnik region and also this trip is only available in our agency. The excursion is designed for both foreign and local tourists, and is designed as a half-day trip, and in the previous period it has become one of our bestsellers. The trip is organized and carried out in collaboration with the winemakers Andro Brajković, Ivo Vodopić, Ivo Karaman, Niko Karaman, Božo Martinović and Mr. Đivanović. In this project the significant role had measures of Croatian Ministry of Tourism as part of the project Visit Croatia and measures of Croatian National Tourist Board through the project of Promotion campaigns in 2011.
